As the government’s workload continues to grow, the outsourcing of business operations becomes more prevalent. GWA works with government organizations to support their business operations through technical writing, digitization, process analysis, and internet services. Government is typically seeking out new ways of managing, authorizing, and organizing its documentation. GWA has a solid approach to managing these process intensive projects while allowing agency’s to apply the same techniques and processes to both paper and electronic records.

One of GWA’s Business Operations contracts supports the work of the General Services Administration (GSA). For GSA, GWA provides internet services, process analysis, and Project Management Office (PMO) support. The PMO is responsible for customer contact, the management of the partners, and the interaction with the partners in order to manage changes to the GSA network. Technically, the PMO ensures that the IP network is working as it is designed and administers all changes to the networks. In addition, there are 25 systems in the GSA infrastructure which must be accessible by the Asia and Europe locations which the PMO ensures are integrated and all changes are managed appropriately. For this project GWA utilizes a dual-partner approach. We have a partner servicing Europe and one in Asia. Each provides the internet-cloud services required by the contract and each has its own high-availability approach to providing the internet services. In addition, each has a global Network Operations Center which provides a single point of contact for any problem resolution and monitoring capability.
